Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our mobile & consumer electronics distribution company. As an integral part of the finance team, the Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate i) financial records, ii) preparing financial statements, analyzing data, and iii ) supporting various accounting and financial functions. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical abilities, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: 1) Financial Record Keeping: Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and cash transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. 2) Month-end and Year-end Closing: Assist in the timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all necessary journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments are completed. 3) Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, providing insights into the company's financial performance and identifying trends or potential issues. 4) Reconciliation: Perform regular bank, inventory, and other account reconciliations to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly. 5) Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the finance team to develop and maintain budgets and forecasts, analyzing financial data to provide insights for decision-making and cost control. 6) Tax Compliance: Assist with tax preparation and compliance, ensuring adherence to local and national tax regulations and submitting necessary documentation on time. 7) Audit Support: Facilitate internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support to auditors. 8) Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis on various aspects of the business, such as product profitability, cost variance analysis, and sales performance, to support strategic decision-making. 9) Vendor and Customer Relations: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, communicating effectively with vendors and customers to resolve any billing or payment issues. 10)Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance efficiency, and maintain accurate financial reporting.
